Toledo bend

Loading the boat as well this am - heading up after a HS baseball game this afternoon. Have not heard a lot of reports but we go this time every year and do fairly well. Sacs - shiner about 18" under cork around brush along bank in coves or grass flats in coves. Can also catch them staging under Pendleton bridge. Bass - work worms or flukes over grass in Indian mounds area or any flat with grass. Spinners and rattle trap work Well depending on the spawn (early or late) - just adjust retreive speed till you find what works. I am no expert and we go mainly for fun and family fellowship - the catching is lagniappe. Just bumped along the grass? I will try that along with shiners, under a cork and roadrunners with spinner heads. If none of that works I will drink and go catch some bass.

I love to bass fish but I am trying to put some meat in the freezer too.

Been bass fishing since I was 10 or so. Now, if the white perch are biting, I care not one bit about bass. This happened about 4 years ago. It's like a disease.
