Anyone have any reports on bass activity at Toledo Bend. I have a chance to go early next week. Lake locations, essentially mid lake I suppose; out from Solans or maybe around 1215 area. Thanks.

From the reports I've seen, just tie on a rattle-trap and cruise along.

Couple of baws I know just trawl the boat lanes in 1215 and Lanan with deep diving cranks. Quantity not quality with a mixed bag of fish.

Fished all week with two diff guides. Lake is way off since I’ve been there two years ago. We fished mid lake and south end. Chatterbaits,Traps and wacky lizards were the ticket shallow and deep cranks deep.. These guys are happy to catch 20 fish a day for a boat of 3 experienced sticks. They both said the pressure has set it back 10 years. We saw plenty of eggs in the gut buckets from the non conservatives at the marinas. We drove over to Rayburn one day and did much better w numbers and size. Good luck

I literally predicted this 2 years ago.

I used to go out and easily catch my limit on this lake. Last few times I have had to work my arse off to put fish in the boat. I'm heading up to North LA to spend some time with family and I'm going to make a fishing trip but to Grand Bayou not Toledo.

Go to Rayburn

Seriously though, I haven't been to Toledo since November. I'm usually up there a ton this time of year, but the fishing has been so much better on Rayburn and on Sabine River that I haven't been. Hell we've been catching and seeing more 15+ pound bags out of the Sabine near Orange than at Toledo.

All the grass on Toledo is concentrated in three or four creeks on the south end, Texas side. There are so many boats down there that I refuse to go this time of year. There are still fish to be caught, and the big ones are still there, but overall they are much tougher to catch than in the past.
