Caught our limit after his boat not starting. Didn't get in the water until after 9.
Most were caught on Junebug Red Soeed Worm and 1/8 oz weight near brush.

We caught 16 keepers, all but 4 came on either black and blue or black red Sweet Beavers and D-Bombs with 1/2 oz weight in the bushes.

No big ones, best five were a little over 15 pounds, but we surprisingly got 2nd in the little tourney we were fishing.

Do you keep something like this rigged up no matter what the season? I have a 7'3 H with 50# braid that I use as a frog rod, but other than that nothing. I dont ever fish a jig

What you talking about? You just like Sonoma, neither one of y'all could catch a cold.

I usually always have a rod rigged like this except for the deep winter.

Hey, appreciate the info. Lots of rain coming. Will prob get pretty muddy up that way. Still trying to decide where to try em next weekend. Haven't fished up that way in years.

He said it's pretty muddy already. They're calling for 3+ inches of rain Tuesday and Wednesday, so it's probably gonna get pretty ugly. On the other hand, if the lake stays high they stay in the bushes longer!

Finally found a few this morning. One real good one, 8lbs
Looks like y'all were right, just needed a little clouds and wind.

Nice fish! Yeah, the last two days were the worst conditions you could have this time of year. Blue bird skies and high pressure plus no wind, though nice to fish in isn't ideal for catching them
