I went from driving a Taco to driving a Duramax. I will never go back to driving a Taco.

Just got a '16 TRD sport Taco about a month ago. I love it. And in one month I've managed to drop some honey mustard from chick fil a on the seat and coming back from the grocery store earlier, a bottle of beer busted on the floor in the back. Fml!

Did they give you more for the taco than you paid for it?

That's what most taco owners tell me

No and anyone that says this is lying. I got $10K for it on the trade-in. I could have gotten a little more on the trade-in (thanks wifey) or thru private sale but didn't want to dick with it.

BS - but I really can't imagine any production vehicle holding its value any better.

In 2004 - I gave $18k for an already used 2002 Taco Prerunner with ~47k miles on it. 7 years later, it was totaled while being driven by a child. It had ~165k miles on it at that point, and USAA sent me a check for $10k. So, we're talking about a 10 year old truck, with just under 175k miles retaining, give or take 35% of it's MSRP. If it had been 4wd, it would have done even better.

You sure about this? The Denali has a digital gauge cluster but there is definitely a gas gauge.

Just keep an eye on the amount of gas in your tank. I've got a buddy that got new gmc's for him and his wife and they told me that there is no gas gauge and the low fuel warning system is a little sporadic. She's been stranded with an empty tank. Why they wouldn't just put a regular gas gauge I don't know.

haha no. low warning light comes on with 40 miles left on the tank. if she continues driving when that gets to 0 or on E, well that sounds like a personal problem

I'm upset I have to sell my '89 yota 4x4. Great truck but no way to put in the baby seat. Haven't decided whether to get a new Tacoma or something else yet.

That sounds like an awesome spare vehicle for an outdoorsman if you can at all afford not to trade it in.

My '08 just hit 120k miles. Still haven't put it in the shop yet.(knock on wood) Just put a brand new set of Toyo A/Ts on it. Looks good with my leveling kit.
I do need to change my spark plugs

Nooooooooooooo. List it on La Sportsman or craigs man, no rust, gone in a few days. If you sell it you will regret.

FYI, I have an extended cab Tacoma and those huge F-18 fighter seat-like newborn seats will barely fit.

Yea, I'm debating if I can keep it. 150,000 miles on it so it has a lot of life left.

I'd definitely keep if there was any way, tie the kid in the back if you have to.

Also, the huge seats last about 3-4 years then the boosters aren't too bad. We've got one of each right now but my boy is so damned big for 20 months he'll probably be driving soon.

That's why I got rid of my 04. I miss it, but my new Tundra is awesome.
