Mine encouraged it. I mean I didn't wear them to church or anything but riding my three wheeler and scavenging around the woods was fair game.

Some tank tops, some cut off sleeves.
If I have a t-shirt that runs it's course I take scissors to it and it's life usually gets extended a few months as a workout shirt.

I had cutoffs clean into my 20's and jorts into my 30's. Hell there is a pic of me posing with a dead hog and my boy that has to be only 3-4 yeara old and I am in jorts.
