anyone who reads the dumb shite I post on here knows Im a firm believer in h20. Doesnt compare to ur top brands but for the money cant be beat
I was gonna get the h2o reel on sale too but I was afraid it wouldn't hold up in saltwater.

This is at Academy right?

I made a thread about this topic recently, and was planning on going there this week anyways.

I was hoping to get a 7 ft All Star medium action, Shimano Sedona as my first rod/reel for my first rod/reel since I was a kid.

I'm not sure if there was any 7' but for that price, I'd roll with6'6. I've caught plennnnnty a fish on 6'6.

Ok cool, I'll probably get one.

Here is a question though. When I get the reel, are the ones used for saltwater explicitly marked as so, and vice versa, or can I get one to use in both?

I'm thinking probably the Shimano Sedona or the Senora.

I bought a crappie maxx spinning combo at BPS last week and I don't really care for the rod...its like 4'6", so I've been looking for a cheap rod to put the reel on...what do y'all think about this one

Ive got one and just dont like it. No feel to it. The base of it is too thick. Give me a thin tight rod

I used to use 15lb mono. Made the switch to 30lb braid. Use a 20lb mono leader sometimes

Damn.. I just brought a couple of my old all stars to the shop to fix some broken guides. I would have just replaced them if I knew this deal was going on
