Who wants to buy shite they have to keep fixing? Buy saying oh I can fix that for $12 implies that the quality is garbage.

I would rather replace the latch and hinges for $10 and spent $350 less for an ice chest that holds ice better. You and the other noble defenders of Yeti think the extra $350 is worth it (although you've never purchased one).

Also, if you don't treat your ice chest like a $2 hooker, you don't have to replace it every year.

My point since pg 1 has been that you pay for quality. I couldn't care less about the ice longevity, I just need and like for things to be able to withstand heavy use and abuse that I put them through.

I treat a yeti like a $1 hooker and never have to replace it. And I have purchased one and surely wouldn't have if I didn't think it was worth my money.

What kind of abuse do you put an ice chest through? We use ours to go fishing, clean it when we're done and leave it in the boat shed. We've had the same ones for years.

Stand on it, cast from it, sit on it, use it 4 days a week. It takes a quality cooler to contain a limit of 4# specks.

I agree. Our Coleman has been suffocating them for years.

I keep my coleman in my Yeti, that way the shite in the coleman actually stays cold and the yeti protects its latches.

About regular igloo/Coleman coolers.

Has anyone tried spray foam in the walled interior(between each wall) of these coolers?

-------if so :
Is there a specific foam (water based) to use.?
Is it even worth doing, to keep ice longer?

Eta.

Whoa.....should this be started in a new thread? There are some mad folks in I this thread.
