Anybody have any experience with the savage axis? Thinking about getting the axis in 22-250 and keeping the 17wsm. I like the 17 and don't want to get rid of it just incase it does get popular.

my tikka 22-250 is my favorite rifle, it just fits me perfect and i'm pretty damn good with it within 100-110yds
if you can find one to shot, do it.. and never look back
Get. A. Tikka.

I got a savage 22 250 but not the axis. I wanted a accutrigger.

Damn it another gun I don't own that now I'm considering.

Ditto on the tikka. It's a winner.

I might just keep the bmag. I just scored 6 boxes of ammo at dicks. Maybe it will start getting produced more.

Choirboy,
Have you been prairie dog hunting the last few years?

I own a bmag and a Browning A Bolt Medallion in 22-250. I bought it used and damn near mint except for some indentations on the rear of the stock. They both have a place in my safe. When I went out to SD to pheasant hunt last fall my guides kept them in their trucks in case they wanted to reach out and touch a deer in the fields.
