I wear safety glasses from work for that exact reason.

What's the string method.

I very rarely fish without sunglasses on, even in the early morning/late evening hours.

You push the hook down to where it is laying on your skin, put pressure on it. Get a strong piece of string and loop it around the hook. When the hook presses against your skin and you have some pressure applied yank it out.

Fishing on front deck down a gravel road when Saline was flooded. Partner and I side by side. I bury a Stanley spinner bait hook through his hat and all the way to the bend in his scalp. Scalp skin is some tough shite. On the third try, the hook came out like nothing. On the first two, my partner said he saw stars.

Might want to stay clear when we go fishing

When I was in high school, a couple buddies of mine were fishing off the bayou side in front of their house in Bayou Dularge. Buddy (a) leaves for a sec and upon returning, buddy (b) is in the back swing of his cast, and hooks buddy (a) in his eye brow with the treble hook of his lure. Buddy (b) yanks twice....buddy (a) passes out.
