Couple weeks when I get the all clear from the doc. Yeah the seat is up all the way. It functions similar to an office chair. It’s supposed to do ok in the current.

Hell yeah! Congrats on the rig! I’ve been eyeing them for a while. Anxious to hear your thoughts on it after getting it wet.

might try and give it a test run out of Mandeville harbor this weekend. My doctor is out for 2 weeks on vacation. I might get my buddy to come help me unload and load it up. That's really the only thing that I have to strain to do.

I’d be too tempted to put a motor on that thing. And a hand controlled trolling motor.

I have a trolling motor that’s been collecting dust. I am going to put it on eventually. Just need to build a motor mount for it.

Yes. Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Angler walk-through

The first minute or so shows him peddling it from the high seat position.

I'm on a Blue Sky Owners group with all the people who backed the kickstarter. The boat is getting good reviews as people are receiving them and taking them out. They're has been a couple issues with the steering, but Blue Sky has sent out replacement kits in case it breaks. Basically the first round had a part that wasn't fully welded and it broke. My boat has the newly welded arm because mine wasn't shipped yet when they discovered it, but they're still sending me a replacement. They customer service has been pretty good, despite not really answering questions in the beginning, but they seemed to have got the communication issues worked out.

Yes, but it's adjustable up & down and forward & back to meet your needs.

My only issue so far is I can't figure out how to tighten down the damn yakattack rod holders that came with it to the tracks.

I just figured it out, pretty simple. Didn't know the part that goes in the track separates from the rod holder. This my first time using a track system.

Being in the kickstarter if ya don’t mind what price did you get in for? And new there 3500?

And with the rod holder you should just slide the bottom of the rod holder on to the track (there’s a oval looking metal piece that treaded at the bottomed the holder) it goes into the track, turn clockwise to tighten

Maybe this has been discussed, but what do y’all think about these new pelicans coming out in Jan?

LINK

In the $1500 range it doesn’t look half bad.

I like the design. I'll be interested to see if someone figures out how to add "turbo fins" to the HyDryve. I like the open layout of it too. Depending on performance, I think it will sell well.

Great layout. We know the drive technology is good. As every company has had, they’ll have problems at first. Wonder how that will go. A lot of that depends on who sells them. Walmart or dealers like Everything Kayak or Massey’s.

Academy for sure. Not sure if the kayak specific stores will carry them.

I got it for $2500 back around March I think. Wife did it without me knowing. They’re retailing for $3500

I also got $200 in credit to buy gear from them. $100 was a reward for pledging during a certain time period and $100 back for shipping to dealer instead of my house. Which I’m glad I did because when I picked it up, Val from Covington Masseys said if I have any issues to go through them and they’ll handle it with Blue Sky. She’s been awesome. I got frustrated with not knowing when I was going to get my boat so I called them asking if they had heard. She took over calling blue sky and she called me almost weekly with updates. I didn’t even ask her too. I’m super impressed with Massey’s customer service for just being a drop off spot. Seems like they didn’t have to care at all but Val even went through the boat with me and all the features and offered to have 2 people load it up and secure it.

For the credit I’m getting some yakattack and ram stuff. Probably another Orion tumbler. (Boat came with one) A couple other things.

Well for a $2300 investment I’m sure even if you hated it and you’ll get your money back and probably then some And I think I’m going to need your wife to talk to mine
I’m really interested in a bay boat but don’t want to know about it

And I’m sure I’m like everyone else can’t wait for some feedback on that rig

Anybody got a good cooler recommendation for a PA?

Need something big enough to hold reds/drum/sheephead but that isnt going to take up the entire rear cargo area. Want to still have space for tackle box and random gear there.
