I didn't want to start a new thread since it's a fairly simple question, and also my first post after quite a bit of lurking which could be dangerous, but ...

I have a Hobie that I want to add a few bungee hooks and other minor add ons to since it is lacking them in the right places. Has anyone done something like this without drilling into the kayak and just using some kind of epoxy? I feel like this would be easier but don't know if one way is better than the other. I know the backpacker and other stores have add on kits with all the gear but I just wanted to get some advice before I drill into the

TIA for any help

Welcome to the OB freebird. Not sure about your epoxy question. I've only added an anchor trolley and that was just with carbiners. Not much help I know, but just wanted to say welcome.

I would take the yak out and figure out where you want stuff to go while fishing out of it. Bring a marker and mark down on the yak where you want things. I would go ahead and drill into the yak once you are sure where you want things.

For TigerWise and anyone else looking to build the same kind of anchor trolley system. One thing that I realized was having a lot of anchor rope and the anchor float tied up is that it actually doesn't give me much flexibility. The rope will always be long. So I'm going to try a sliding float and hold it from coming off the end of the rope when I release with one of these chip clips I found rooting around in the kitchen.

The line I use for my anchor system came on its on little reel. I tie it off on there 1st then on the figure 9. It works like a champ and I spent less than $20 on the entire system.

Van how bout adding KC Kayaks to the list? Local company, I'm sure someone here can do a review or just link the website, but that's what I fish so I can if necessary.

How come my QCC q700x kayak didn't make your recomendation/review list? Not a better touring, racing, ocean going, fitness paddling kayak out there.

I could probably even fish out of it. No way you could stand in it though.....

Thats the one thing about the KC I couldn't live without. two weekends ago I found some clear water and just cruised around looking down at them all day.

The fishing part was a bit of a joke. Boat only 19 inches wide so tippy as hell, even when siting. It does go fast though.....

Most stable kayak I've been in. The compromise is lack of speed. Not an issue for me in the marsh though.

Yep. Seat can be low or flipped over and made tall.

Same range as the other top tier yaks (Hobie, Jackson, Diablo, KC).
