The A-5 is one of the softest kicking shotguns around. If it is kicking you that bad, dollars to donuts you have the friction rings adjusted wrongly.

yeah any semi auto should kick less. Worst gun i have shot is a Mossberg 835 ultimag. that damn thing would make just about anyone quit duck hunting.

I have one and it just plain hurts, especially with 3.5in turkey loads. It will make you rethink you philosophy on life.
