Ready to cry?

Some of my "Katrina Casualties"...

They were all stuck in a safe for 4 weeks after Katrina. The moisture and heat ruined them all. All the breaches were completely rusted and pitted. The opening mechanism for the 16ga Beretta was completely locked up.

Colt .45 Combat Commander

Colt .357 Python Nickel Plated

16ga. Beretta Silverhawk

12ga. Beretta Excelsior

Reminton Nylon 66 .22 (one of my favorite guns ever)

SKB 20ga. SxS

(2) Anschutz .22 rifles

Browning 20ga O/U

The whole "Lost" collection:

2 more guns that were saved, besides the Colt 10mm. These were in their own plastic cases, on top of my guest bedroom bed which floated up and back down and everything on top of it was saved.

Custom Ruger Super Blackhawk .44

H&K 94

Trust me, a part of my did die inside. These were all my Father's guns, who passed away in 1991. Aside from losing my wife to Leukemia 3 months earlier and then everything else in the house in Katrina, losing these nearly put me over the edge. It was like losing my Father all over again. 2005 is a year I'd like to wipe from my memory banks if that kind of procedure should ever become available in the future.

That's horrible CD, you seem to be doing great now, most of my guns came from my paw paw (pow pow for the board) and if I lost them I would be a really upset individual. Keep that head up brotha!

Congrats. Didn't know that.

Tough question here. I like the Python a lot (and will probably get one). Colt SAA is up there too.
