Those appear to be Dogos which are usually some bad mofers and are usually a good bit bigger than pits.
That hog was nasty but those dogs still werent worth a shite.

I wonder if a filla brazillaro or whatever that big badass bloodhound looking thing is called would make a good pig dog.

They'd have to be a catch dog probably but I bet they'd be pretty good at it. Not sure how smart they are though.
