441
And my saw with the .063 gauge is a commercial grade saw. I wanted to put a 20" on it and switched to .050, again for Gustav.

Get a 460 or whatever the hell the number changed to now. From what I remember, there wasn't much weight difference, but the 460 just had more torque. I used to have both a 440 and a 460. 440 had the 18" bar and screamed, and the 460 had that 24" bar I gave you and that was a perfect match for it pulling through dense trees
There's nothing like hearing a running saw first thing in the morning, feeling it pull you towards the tree, and looking at those peelings from a freshly sharpened full skip chain

I had a 440 with a 460 top end, thin base gasket and adjusted timing that would scream through pecan with a 20in bar and 8 pin sprocket. You couldn't run that saw without smiling.
To the OP, buy stihl chain. It has a hardened outer layer and better steel that stays sharper much longer than oregon or any other brands I've used.

I found that Oregon chains stretched faster than Stihl chains

I've used Oregon chains before when I was in a bind but never again. Now I keep a shitpile of sharp stihl chains in the truck. I find the oregons stretch more, dull quicker, cut slower, and just don't really do anything as good as the stihl. Theyll cut stuff, just not as good.
And I have friends who "will never own a stihl product because they're all junk"
As they try to cut a tree with their dull slow poulan
Stihl saws, bars, and chains are top notch shite.
