Anybody know anything more about what happened than the article states? Sad. Y'all stay safe.

According to his family, the release states he left to go fishing about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in a small flat boat and never returned. It is not known how or why Londo entered the water, but his body was recovered without a personal flotation device, according to the release.

Very sad news. Life Jackets, no excuse for not wearing one especially now that you can get the light weight self inflating ones. No way I would go out by myself without wearing one. I'd rather be slightly uncomfortable than fully dead!

Same for me when I’m in my kayak. Bass boat I take it off while not running. But always wear it when running.
Sad this happened.

My dad and/or grandfather used to take me out there when I was a kid in the 80's. For being a relatively small body of water, I have more horror stories from boating/fishing out there than the gulf, Pontchartrain, etc.

Life jackets save lives.
I was a gw for 5 years. Pulled a few bodies from the water- none had on a life jacket. Most were single occupants operating a tiller handle motor.

I feel dumb for running my boat alone without a PFD on. Some of the water I was in was as rough as I've ever seen.
I ALWAYS wear one now when we are on the move.

My BIL thinks its no big deal to run full tilt on the MS river w/o a lifejacket on. No matter if the river is low or above flood stage. My pussy arse is strapped in though.
