I just bought the camera and I know I get a month free. I tried to go ahead and purchase a plan so that when my freebie runs out it will be done. I can’t figure it out. Can I not buy a data plan until my freebie runs out?

I bought the data plan on the phone app during the free trial period.

Use the phone app. Select premium monthly. When your free month ends it will allow you to pay from that field. You’ll like these little cameras. While I can’t say they are completely accurate 100% of the time taking pictures. If you have a decent signal, 50% or better it will capture most of the activity moving through.

Right now, in the app, I can’t purchase the plan. I have to wait until the free trial is up to purchase the plan?

I'm having problems with a spypoint camera. Was on the free trial unlimited plan getting pics consistently every day for the last month. About 5 days ago that ran out. I purchased the 1000 pics per month plan. Have only received a couple pics for one day.

Camera is in communication. SD card not even half full. Have about 50% cell signal and 50% battery power.

Anyone run into this? I plan on going to land maybe tomorrow to check it out first hand

By the time your battery level is that low it switches resources to taking pics and doesn't transmit them all. Use the energizer ultimate lithium batteries and change them once the camera says below 75%.

Good to know

I'll go and change the battery out. Maybe I'll go back to a solar panel and 12v SLA battery

You are correct. I remember them making me wait until the free trial period ran out to choose my plan.

Anyone know if the Spypoint micro can take rechargeable AA batteries and have them recharged constantly via solar?

Anything reading less that 100% on battery means they are toast. It’s just reading a lower than anticipated voltage and guessing at that point. Use lithiums and set the power source setting to AA_lit or whatever, that will give you a little more notice.

The battery life will dramatically improve if you set it to send the pics less often. Searching for signal and transmitting the data is the biggest drain. I leave mine set to send a twice a day and they’ve been going strong since a month before bow opener, but one spot I was excited about chewed through a set of batteries in three week sending after every pic.

They accept a standard 12v plug so there’s probably all kinds of ways you could finagle that to work. Strongly considering rigging up some solar setups with those cheap 7ah feeder batteries and ammo cans.

You will have to go to the website and live chat . They will cancel the subscription and you will be able to purchase the new plan. I just did 3 of mine. You will have to provide the SIM card number which you can find on the app. Took abou 10 minutes total and that was purchasing the new subscription.
