When my parents first built their pond, I would feed old bread to the bream. Got to where it was no problem catching them with my hands when I was holding bread. Then we ate them.

I just usually hold my hands out over the water and they come to me...

seriously tho...I was fishing with a buddy after a duck hunt and missed a fish in some heavy grass...a minute later I saw it under the water laying on the grass stunned...told my buddy to keep quiet and don't move (he couldn't see what I saw)...drifted over, jammed my hand into the water and pulled the bass out...buddy went ballastic...
