Anyone here use soy bean. We hunt in the Marsh in St Charles parish. Typically feed soy beans because the other creatures don’t really fool with it like corn. I’m having trouble finding beans this year, though. Anyone have any connections ?

I normally find a soy bean farmer and buy them for the year as they harvest. I either fill totes or seed boxes. There’s a local place that will roast and bag then for $2-$3 a bag. If you are going to buy directly from a farmer, you better do it quick. Offer the farmer a little above market price and they should be happy to sell it to you out of their grain buggy.

Soy bean farmers in this area took a hit this year with all the rain. There was a lot of rot and some were only getting 1/4 of what their normal bu/acre average

our beans this year were harvested last year and bought directly from the farmer. we start feeding in august so you have to use last years beans to get started.

we had to quit feeding corn due to the bears.

For us its the coons. They will do anything to get that damn corn. We lost a few hundred pounds of beans due to the storm. Rotten soybeans got a smell that's hard to forget.
