how longs it take you to paddle out to your spot to get your 15# stringers? got a trolling motor tucked in one of those 4sqft hatches?

Diablo donated one of those as a prize to one of the KFCs. Dude that won it used it once, and decided to sell it. Too slow for the amount of paddling a serious fisherman does.

I like to have one and strap a trolling motor on it.

so my thoughts on this thread before heading out to the lanai and the inebriation that comes along...

Who gives a crap what kind of kayak someone else uses. Team Ascend likes theirs because they're budget friendly and they tear fish up in em. People with more stable kayaks like diablos and kc's enjoy the stability to stand and sight fish and they tear fish up in em. People that enjoy the long skinny distance kayaks like them because they can paddle for miles and miles and also tear fish up in em. All in all, there seems to be a similarity between the three. People like to fish out of them.

I could belittle people with the long and skinny kayaks because i think there's nothing worse than being stuck on your arse at water level all day fishing. I might paddle 3-4 miles in a trip over half a day and guess what, I'll have more than enough fish for me. The number one thing i wanted to be able to do with my diablo is stand up and fish for reds in the marsh. You'd be hard pressed to find another kayak better at that than a diablo. I'm not in any races, I'm just out there to enjoy myself which i would not be if i was 10 miles from the launch and stuck on my butt. But hey, some people enjoy that.

Either way, Happy Easter, Happy Fishing, GEAUX TIGERS BEAT FLORIDA!
