I've never encountered them north of Shreveport on 71 before today. Al Gore prophesies I reckon.

Damn things were exponentially worse yesterday than days before. Some people say that they haven't seen any north of I-20

I drove from Corpus Christi to Lafayette yesterday and they were horrible. Seemed to get worse around Lake Charles.

Was told again today that they still aren't north of I-20. They were way worse today. Black snow. I was around a work over rig. They were thick. When they shut the rig down for lunch the bugs fell out of the sky and covered the grass and weeds. They must be attracted to vibration or noise in open areas. I pulled my truck into a trail in the timber and they were almost non-existent while 10' away in the open it was like black snow.
