why wouldn't you just clean the deer at the camp spot rather than bringing all that messy shite home. If you join the club, be in the club. I don't think its a good idea for people to start saying "i'm not using that so i'm not paying for that". "I don't hunt food plots so i'm not paying for them" leads to too much bitching and diversity.

You should be able to kill a few there.

I have a skinning shed, sink, ice machine, etc at my house. A whole lot easier to do it at home.
Like I said, I'll put in on foodplots and resonable corn expenses but as a paying member I feel I'm entitled to voice my opinions

Those are pretty serious concerns for a new club. Without reading all the responses I would say they better have a good population for you to subject yourself to all that.

Just an idea, our club drew cards every night. The cards determined the order of choice for stand selection for the entire next day. Morning hunt and then if people wanted to move spots then you go through order again. Only difference being, if someone had spot a in morning and didn't want to give it up... they can keep it.

Meh, I'm ok with drawing straws at time of hunt if two or more want to hunt a spot.
Don't misunderstand my concerns. These are just talking points not deal breakers or things to discuss. Wanted to contribute to the board other than in a " I <3 gunzzz!!!" Threads

I agree, pay the full price no matter what parts of the club you use.
Even though it is only 50acres/hunter, this could be a good club for you if you are a local resident and most of the other hunters live a couple hours away. Without dedicated stands, during the week you can put in a lot of short hunts anywhere on the place.

believe me, (you've probably gone through some of it before) but it's just a way to totally eliminate BS and bickering. There gets to be hot spots, a buck people have seen or on to, its just a good simple way to have order in the club.

I love threads like these because it just shows how hard it is to have a hunting club and it make everyone happy. Everybody has different oppinions.
Som clubs are run as a democracy where majority rules, other are a dictatorship.

Those piss me off, the pres just changes rules and lets no one know a lot of the time. (My old club was run like this, which is why it's my old club

I think an ideal club is to have a fair dictator that listens to equal voices of everyone in the club. The worst is the dictator that only listens to his buddies or whatever.

Give it a year & make up your mind for the next season. I'm in one that are no personnel stands & it's first come to choose a stand. If you find a good one then get there first
I'm with you on pouring out money for a skinning rack if you don't plan to use it

I see some clubs here that have over 100 people. How the hell do they do it. I bet the fighting and the clics are horrendous. Better off hunting public land for free

My understanding is the new one will be everyone has an equal voice and ultimate goal is for a comprimise that everybody can hunt and be happy with

I think open civil conversations and honesty goes a long ways with the mental health of a club. Not speaking thoughts openly is usually what leads to bitterness and anger.

Yea I've seen it turn a lot of people against each other without words ever being spoken.
