I don't think anyone is advocating not killing one that's in your yard or neighborhood, or anywhere you might find kids playing. If you find one there, outin him!
One of the main reasons for being able to ID poisonous snakes is, god forbid, one of your kids or love ones gets pecked. The emergency room peeps will have to know the type snakebite it is, so they can administer the correct anti venom.

You do this shite in every snake thread. There are several other posters that catch/handle snakes that don't act like a complete a-hole like you. You really belong on the OT. It better fits your persona.

And this is exactly what I'm advocating - not killing a non- venomous snake in your yard. A bite from a snake is less harmful than a bee sting, and probably the MOST effective tool in a kid learning not to mess with another snake again. Killing every harmless snake that enters your yard does nothing to prevent a kid from picking up the next venomous one that happens by.

Moto, you have to remember that these are troll threads. Girly snake fearin' poster puts up pics of dead snakes to elicit reactions, from guys who are pissed off, to a chorus of me-toos from the other chickens. Don't take the bait.

Actually I'm sitting in the service department at Chevy for the past couple hours, and this is helping me pass the time and get a good laugh. Otherwise I'd be bored to death. I'm laughing my arse off while Ole Geauxt is about to have a nervous breakdown. Who's the troll?

They don't have to be able to eat it to be a danger. I have a real nice Charlais bull that got bit last week and he can barely walk. I don't think the snakes intention was to eat him but it didn't stop him from sinking his fangs in him.
