You cannot kill enough snakes during random sightings to make any measurable difference in the chance of your son seeing one.

Oh I know it but he's 3... I'm not taking the chance. When he sees me killing with the shovel there's no mistaking that snakes are the devil. Dudes a frog, lizard, and bug catching machine. I've got 4 acres and if anything thinks of moving he's on it. Being that he's so young things need to be black and white. It's eather ok or BAD. Like I stated in my previous post, when he gets older I'll ofcourse teach him the diff between the harmless and poisonous ones. Oh and OG, your rite on. That fella' needs a boot sideways in his arse.

True, but there is not a single domesticated food animal that a native snake can eat. Cow, pig, chicken; all are too big. Sure wolves, coyotes, and foxes could, but not snakes. There is some other basis for the irrational fear of serpents.

that is one thing

killing every snake you see because you are ignorant and snakes are "icky" is another

With you on that OG, he probably ain't spent more than 10 minutes at time outdoors his whole damn life. Probably drives a damn Prius. Fricking tree hugging, bunny humper! Bet he's buddies with pawwllll

I probably spent more time in the woods before I hit my teens than you've spent in your life. And it's a Z51 Vette - not a Prius. And speaking of karma, anyone who poses as an outdoorsman and kills every snake they see out of sheer ignorance or blind fear deserves nature's karma. Call it harsh if you like, but I have little tolerance for posers who brag about their ignorance. I've been called "weird" on here since the first time I spoke of having snakes as pets and for enjoying catching and handling them. So the guy on the outdoor board who doesn't fear nature is weird - the ultimate irony. Posers abound.
I have nothing against hunting and am far from a tree-hugger. But simply put, a guy who shoots elephants for their tusk deserves to be
trampled. A guy who hunts lions to put a trophy on his wall deserves to be eaten. And a guy who indiscriminately goes after every snake he sees with a shovel deserves to be bitten.

Your affinity for snakes is not why you're considered weird...

Let's get something straight, I didn't call you weird,or a poser, someone else did. I called you a piece of shite. Anybody that hopes that someone else gets bit and suffers by a reptile is a piece of shite.

Eta: piece of shite, not weird, just plain smelly, body waste, piece of shite.
And take your ego and your vette and stick it back up barrys arse where it came from.
I don't give a rats patoot if you play with snakes, as long as you don't try and play with my snake, because I would kill you with a shovel. But for you to wish pain and suffering on someone is shitty.

A guy who hunts snakes to catch and place in cages so he can play with them deserves to be bitten. Those snakes don't want to be caught they want to live in the wild and be left alone...

And I've been bitten easily over a hundred times . And deserved each one. My pets are captive-bred. If you want to argue about the cruelty of keeping animals as pets, join PETA.

Actually that exact reason was cited on this board.

Let's get something else straight - your support of killing snakes out of ignorance and fear makes you both a piece of shite and a coward.
