quote:
Our path started when two men, Horace Smith & Daniel Baird Wesson, developed one of the first repeating firearms – the Volcanic. For 170 years since, we have created history and forged our legacy.
Today, we are proud to announce the Model 1854 Series of lever action rifles. An American classic – redefined for the modern user.
The Model 1854 is launching with two versions, both chambered in the mighty 44 Magnum. First is a utilitarian stainless-steel bead-finish rifle with M-LOK®-capable polymer furniture. The second is an extremely limited-edition rifle with a gloss PVD black finish and high-grade satin walnut stocks.

Beautiful rifle ruined by putting a rail on top of the receiver. Take that off, and I'd love to own one.

Something the antigunners won't go after

The bastardization of an iconic firearm. On a FB page dedicated to Lever guns some of the members post tactical lever guns with cans, tactical stocks, all types of optics, etc. I say nope nope nope. Just a Winchester ‘94 or a Marlin 336 is a beautiful rifle on its own. Don’t need to add stuff.

Not first. Eventually, yes.

Agreed. Haven't put anything on my Henry even though as I've gotten older the iron sights are getting tougher to use - especially the last half hour of legal shooting light. I don't want to mess up the looks of a beautiful lever gun with optics.
