Do these things have to be custom fabricated or ordered from a dealer? I've done some googling and there is an ebay listing, but can't find a website with different models/sizes and options. I don't like the hoop that goes around the motor, it just looks to flimsy, and for $800 I'd rather something more substantial & higher out of the water. Plus the ones that mount to the deck could probably serve some purpose for fishing.

This thing is obviously custom and overkill with the shelf, but a couple of rod holders would be nice.

Sterling in New Iberia will build you one. They might not be cheap but it will be done right and exactly how you want it.

I looked at buying an offshore boat a while back that had a telescoping ski pylon out the transom, thought it was pretty cool. guy said it cost him 1600

I had a similar ski pole on a ski boat with an inboard motor. Worked great and easily removable was a plus.

I bought this exact ski pole at Goodwill for $15. Best deal ever. We use it all the time on my Xpress with 50 yamaha. It really helps getting tubes and skis going.

I run a ski pylon for wake sports. I’ve had one like this for 15 years or so. Works very well.
