Anyone have any chene pieces? I have always been a big Sitka guy, but I like some of the traditional bottomland and tree stand chene patterns. Is the quality as similar as the price tag? TIA.

Can only speak on their waders. They are top notch. Don’t have any of their gear but have been contemplating it.

The few technical items from Chene I've put my hands on were top notch quality....but I only own a t-shirt from them, and it's just a t-shirt

Chene has a lot of new stuff out for this season so you can tell they're trying to be a player in the premium market with Kuiu, Sitka, First Lite, etc.

Right now riding my Sitka Hudson jacket until it gives me reason to try something else but wouldn't hesitate to try one of Chene's new jackets if I had a need. I think, like you said, the traditional camos will have a lot of appeal for some.

Sitka is made of gortex which is a proven material the others are not

I know the company is based here in Memphis and my son wants some of their waders.

I won't buying him anything like that until he stops growing.

I swapped all of my duck hunting stuff over from Sitka to Chene and have been nothing but impressed. The quality is on par with Sitka and at a slightly lower price. I 100% like the Chene waders over the Sitka ones I had. The Chene customer service is what Sitka's used to be. Time will tell if their customer service remains as top notch as it is or will it eventually slip like Sitka's has. I will say its a big selling point to me that I can make the drive to the Chene shop and have my waders repaired on the spot versus sending them off to wherever Sitka uses to repair them and them sit in limbo somewhere for months at a time. I also much prefer the Mossy Oak patterns over the sitka camo's. I was always a big fan of Sitka's gear just always hated their camo. Admittedly I think camo matters very little if any at all. Be still and don't look up will always trump camo patterns imho

This is a pretty ignorant comment considering the Gore-Tex patent expired in 1996 and many companies make waterproof membranes now based off of the Gore-Tex technology and some have even advanced past Gore-Tex in terms of durability and function.
