I bet I can shoot an M9 better than I can shoot the best 1911 you have ever shot.

Don't know what it is about an M9, I can just shoot the frick out of them.

Shittiest 1911>>>>>>>beretta 92

I'd rather shoot a slingshot than a 92.

Still hate it.

Hey guys I'm bumping my thread to get some input from a different crowd. I started it last night asking for opinions on high end production and starter custom 1911s. We got off topic but the first couple pages were good. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

TRP use to be a good value at 1100 or so now that its creeping towards 15-1600, I'd rather kick in an additional 200 and get a great Les Baer Custom Carry.

I don't care for billboards on the side of my guns, so "TACTICAL" = "-1s" for me. I also don't care for mag wells on carry guns or two piece guide rods.

The les baer is a better value, there's a guy on interwebz that has a great inventory of LBs at great prices. I'll look around for it.

I could do without the tactical on the side but its not a deal braker. I actually like the mag well. Think it looks pretty cool and I won't be carrying it ever. Just a range and safe queen. As for the 2 piece guide rod I haven't had enough experience with them to dislike it yet. Easy fix if I don't though.

I'd still like to handle a les Baer. Heard they were super tight.

Yes very tight, but you also won't find any MIM parts in a baer and it's all american parts if that means anything to you... SA still gets their frames from brazil.

The trp is stamped Illinois. They do have mim parts in them though. It will probably come down to price point. If its 1700 or 2000 then I can justify going to custom. If its 13 or 14 then i don't know
