Seems the Corvette ZR48 is the boat that broke down.

This MTI was themed after a ZR1 Corvette with all the original GM parts used in the build purchased from GM dealers. The boat is constructed of carbon fiber. The boat features a pair of 1,350-horsepower turbocharged Mercury Marine V8 engines strapped into a carbon fiber hull. Top speed: 180 mph. Cost: $1.7 million.

I saw this boat go by the house on Friday afternoon. We really were not home this weekend to see all the out of state boats.

I don't care what other people do with their cash, but I can't imagine blowing a load like that on anything other than fishing. I'd honestly rather a chaos flats boat that any speed boat

He's definitely trolling for a different species of tuna with that boat. I do find them a waste since you can't fish out of them, but I've been in some and if I had it to blow, I'd get something to booze cruise, not go fast. The speed thing is highly overrated.

i just have to believe that the people who own these things are not hurting for cash and could probably buy an offshore rig if they really wanted to
