Did my at the YMCA for NAUI/YMCA certs but it took longer than a month. You better search for a weekend PADI class.

Any dive shop around for standard OW. You'll learn more diving daily out the resort, but you will have your papers and log at least.

Check with the resort you are going to in the Bahamas. Many of them have online courses for the class room stuff. Then you take your skills test on 3 separate dives at the resort.
Also, most dive resorts in the Bahamas offer a resort diver status - take a half day course with them and then you get to take dives up to 55 feet. You aren't technically certified, but it's an easy way to get under the water.

I'm staying at the Cove Eleuthera and doing the dive part of a third party. I was thinking doing the classroom and the 5 confined water dives here, and then doing the 3 open water dives off of eleuthera

Yeah since the diving is third party that might be best to do confined dives at home.
One thing to consider "confined dive" does not necessarily mean it must be in a pool. My son got certified this past summer and his confined dives were right off the beach in about 5 to 8 feet of water.
In my opinion, The more time you spend with the dive masters you will be diving with is all the better.

Awesome, I will make some calls today and get it lined up. Thanks for the help.
I've been wanting to do it for a while but now I'm ready. Later this year we are booking a bucket list trip for me, going cage diving with great whites at Guadalupe Island
