I’ve been very satisfied with my 384-35 Rattler.

Budget is under $1K
Get a digital night vision scope. A good one can be had in the $700-800 range. I have an ATN Pro 4K that I’ve killed a bunch of hogs with and it video records too.
For a thermal scope that lets you see decently well with decent resolution, without video recording, you’re looking at $2k.
Don’t forget about the monocular for scouting. You don’t want to be swinging your gun every which direction in the dark to look around. You can get a half decent thermal monocular for about $1200. In my opinion prioritize viewing angle (wide field of view) with low zoom verses ones with high base zoom especially if your shots will be at 50-100 yards.
So your budget is way under budget even for a usable practical low budget setup.
