You're being paranoid. It's not exactly the safest area, but it's not like you have to live there. Just as long as you're not stupid and walking around downtown alone at 0300 you're fine.

I know I am. She gave me the choice and I chose shreveport. She has a lot of family there and has never had a chance to really have a "family" life so I feel she deserves that. Plus I can more precisely mirror the current life we live with house size etc. she is far too much of a baby to drive to no from outside the city everyday.
