Appear to be ulcers but I haven't had any ulcers in years and definitely not on my tongue.

No. The old one is just a crater and is chilling. The new one on the side of my tongue is big and swoll up and bumps into my chompers when I talk or eat or drink.

Well, if they're closed it means they're healing.
I get those on the sides of my mouth too so I know they suck and they take forever to heal.
Has anything been working as far as pain relief has gone?
