Saltwater Spincast Advice

I want to buy my 8yo son a spincast for saltwater fishing. I’m looking at Zebco Omega but not loyal to any brand. What does the OB suggest

I bought my son a zebco when he was about 3. When he was 7 I got him a spinning rod.

Get him a cheap baitcaster too. Learning to properly use a baitcaster is vital for bass fishing as well as inshore saltwater.

This. Shimano used to make spinning reels with a trigger that would flip the bail for you. I would highly suggest one of those. Easy to use and he will keep it around longer.

My 6 year old daughter figured out the spinning reel in and afternoon throwing a cork and worms. Much more versatile setup than a spin cast that will hit the shelf in just a few years. (Maybe less)

I just ordered two shimanos on Amazon thanks for the help.
