I think that's where THE crappie psychic fishes them if I'm not mistaken. I've never personally fished it, but read articles about him wearing them out there.

I’m originally from Raceland and we used to go there all the time. Wore out the sacalait and lake runners.

ETA: it’s been a few years since I’ve been back.

Just like any other place word gets out and it gets overfished. Crappie physic dude been promoted his baits and has a few articles in the sportsman. That brings a lot of attention to a very small area. Very tough for a weekend angler. if you can get out on a weekday where you can move around and try to find them its much more enjoyable.

One of my favorite spots to fish. Haven’t made a trip yet but that’s about to change. It has gotten pretty crowded over the last few years.

Lake Boeuf is in my back yard almost. You can definitely latch on to some if you know the spots. Same goes for Lake Des Allemands

Second on Lake Des Allemans and Bayou Gauche. Both those areas hold nice sacs

There's a boat launch to get to Lake Boeuf/Bayou Boeuf area in Raceland on Hwy 308. You can always tell when the word's out that the Sac au Lait are biting when you pass there by the number of trucks and trailers in the parking lot.

Of course, by the time you see this and then make plans to go that weekend, they aren't biting anymore.

Best bet is to know the general time of year when they are spawning, and then check the solunar tables and weather to dertermine when you should go try to catch them.
