He's getting rid of a lot of em at a fish fry for lots of Josey's huntin and fishin buddies at sister Wales' house next time you are up here but we aren't waiting much longer.

Whites usually have banding on the sides and have 5 or 6 spines on the dorsal fin. Blacks have random spots all over the sides and 7 or 8 dorsal spines.

Poverty Point has been slow. Water temp is 41 so fishing is a little off. Saline, Larto, and Ouachita River have been producing some good catches lately. Need some warm days to get them going.

alahunter, are you certain that is a white in the top photo? No bars, and quite a few spine on the dorsal. Looks possibly like a black to me, but not sure. The no stripes or bars makes me think black. Interesting. The bottom photo is a male black caught on the spawn.

My dad pan fries them stuffed with crab meat. Then out in toast with a little remoulade. Mmmmmm
