Heard of people running from Myrtle Grove to GI. Any hazards to watch for?

Easy run. It is about 11 miles from the end of Wilkinson Canal to Four Bayous Pass. I stay fairly close to the shoreline running by such places as Bay Jimmy, Bay Sansbois, etc.

Its about as easy as it can get. Run Myrtle Grove canal to Barataria Bay and its almost due south from the mouth. You have some oyster pickets and platforms but that's about it. North side of the bay can get a little choppy if you have a strong south wind. Hopefully you're running it during the day.

I've done it several times. It is almost straight south. No obstructions that I know of, but I may just be lucky. I think its about 30-45 minutes cruising at about 35. I always remember to check the time when I leave, and always forget to check it again when I get there.

Launch in Lafitte and run Barataria to GI.
That's real easy.
