The book about him is fascinating.He never owned a firearm before Austrian Army decided they wanted a new sidearm for their army.He designed the Glock and the rest is history.
I remember when the Glock came out,airplane hijackings were the the thing then.
The ignorant politicians and,fake news media were going ballistic over the “plastic” pistol,wouldn’t be detectable on x-ray machines,wanted it banned,yada,yada.
He was a genius but also a first class A-hole.
Read the book if you want to understand why I say that.
