I need a good rifle sling that’s comfortable and doesn’t slip. If it holds bullets that’s a bonus.

I'm pretty much a traditionalist when it comes to rifle slings. I like it to be simple and sturdy. I don't need it to hold bullets or have extra padding. I prefer something like this one. It's easily adjusted, light and inexpensive. At one time I was trying to make my Winchest M70 as light as possible and bought a sling like this one although mine was made by Uncle Mike's. I also prefer the sling to be 1 1/4" if possible. I you like leather, there's nothing wrong w/ the traditional military type leather sling although the loops seem needlessly complicated and usually unused. Here's an old article by Jeff Cooper w/ an interesting idea on slings.

I have 2 browning slings that hold 3 rounds. I really like them. I also have a claw on my shotgun that I like Turkey hunting.

you can get the paracord ones for very cheap on Amazon with the lock attachments. they are surprisingly comfortable too.

I have one without a pad, and for long walks i hate it. I like to have a small shoulder pad to keep my gun from slipping. Now that I take my son with me, I need to carry 32 things and his backpack, so a non slipping sling is something i really like.
