Mine shipped while I was away this weekend. It’s a smaller reel size than I’m used to but it’s solid. Had my son pull some drag in the driveway. We made a few dry casts and it was smoooooth. I’ve made worse purchases.

RH $33 with the $5 coupon now. LH $22
I use a Tatula 100 and like the feel of a smaller reel. Updated the LH link again. $24. Click the coupon. Not sure what the thing is behind these constant price changes. $22 again and I'm getting a few more for gifts.

These reels are garbage and I see why price is so cheap! Spool shifts side to side and string gets caught between spool and frame when it’s loose or taking out a backlash your wife made.

These will be camp pond only reels or reels we don’t really use a lot of.

The spool tension knob should take out all of the side play.

What happens when you tighten the spool? I haven't tried mine yet. Surely you didn't expect a Shimano.

I'm somewhat new to baitcasters and started with Fluoro and have never looked back. My friend uses braid and I can't stand it. I use 10 or 12# seaguar yellow package.

got mine in today and spooled it up. The tension knob definitely tightens things on mine. I'd exchange it if I were you.

I’ll just bring to camp and let boys have it. It’s not the worst $25 I ever spent!

anyone else cast their's yet. A small review after casting a couple dozen times. 14 lb mono, a few different hardbaits. The brakes have to be set way tighter than I'm use to. I'm normally a halfway or less kind of guy. I had to set this to about 7.5 to not get spool overrun. Other than that, works great. Tension knob functions well, drag seems to work with hand pulling test. Looking forward to catching something on this and seeing how it does.

Kind of. I put it on my flipping stick. 65lb braid. Flips just fine. Setting on 4. Longer flip gave a little over run so I bumped it to 4 1/2 and no issues. Not crazy about the high leading edge on the spool release button but

I used it today, great reel. Even though they sent me wrong colors. I was impressed, cast well, etc.

U have to tighten the reel spool cap. You are supposed to put reel in free spool with you bait and let it fall if it starts to backlash it’s too loose.

I bought two when they were $23.

The picture showed the red version but ended up getting one red and one blue.

Easily the best $46 I’ve spend on fishing gear. I didn’t have any issues getting the spool tension and brake knobs set to there they cast great.
