How often does OB recommend replacing the strings on their bows? Vertical bow here. Going on 6 yrs. Seems fine. I keep it waxed but dont want to lose an eyeball either.

It’s mostly based on shots and how the bow is stored. If stored in climate control area, about every 500 shots.

500 shots? I shoot that in a week or two. Hell a bow string needs 2-300 to get broken in.
OP, 6 years is a good while. You could probably use a new string.

You shoot 71 shots a day? I guarantee you’re a fricking liar

I would do it every 3 years or so. They will stretch just from being on the bow.

Why are you being a dick? I shoot anywhere from 25-50 arrows a day

I do it every two or three seasons.

I shoot atleast 5 days a week. 20 to 50 shots. I usually change my strings every other year. 60x has a deal right now on new cables and strings.. 30% off I believe..

Yeah it's time to get some new ones.
I actually just ordered some from 60x for my Elite. Last set I got was from Hoggwire. They are a solid set. Once you get custom, prestretched strings, you'll be tempted to never shoot stock strings again.

Because too many people on here tell blatant lies to sound more “outdoorsy”.
