Replacing a Prop Foot with a Jet Foot

Anyone ever done this? I'm looking at a little 16ft aluminum boat with an older 25HP on it. Thinking about getting it and replacing the foot with a jet. Principle use would be for creeks and rivers here to hunt and fish. I'm fairly handy and I think this is a fairly easy conversion. Any gotchas? Where do you get the parts?
TIA
TIA

This has always interested me also, I hear one of the draw backs is a good bit less power with the same HP.
I have seen a few guys retro fit jet ski engines in small flat boats, they fly down shallow creeks. Looks very practical for stumpy/ logy swamps but I have know idea how they hold up. I also doubt they would do well in grassy/ muddy marshes but I don't know this for sure.
Hopefully someone has some good input on this topic.

I have one.
You'll hate it in grass or mud, or anything other than clean sandy/rock rivers or creeks. In its element, it's better than anything else. In high (flood) water where there's a lot of vegetation in the water, it will suck up grass into the impeller and block the water pump holes above it.
You're gonna lose 1/3 hp from the conversion.
You will, however, be able to run in clear water with gravel hitting the bottom of the boat while not checking up as long as you have a tunnel (recommended) and your motor set right.

This one doesn't have a tunnel.

These were used a lot where I grew up in MO. Easy for gravel bar rivers and rocks. Mud and vegetation will suck.

You should cut one in it.

Still running jets like crazy in MO. Yes they suck up stuff. Sometimes a leaf will bring you to a stand still.
I've had a 17ft jon with a Yamaha 60/40 and also a Shoal Runner with a 350 SBC inboard. Looking for something in between right now.

Tons of jets and pumps in my area. Half the guides have a pump on their outboard for running skinny water.
Go bigger, I believe you lose 30% of your power after you switch.
