Recommendations for new AK owners

So I have been contemplating a AK, first thing I will do with it is take it down the river to the fishing camp.
If one was to get a plem PSA should they get a sight for it? If so would a Premiere Shooting Solutions AK Master optic mount be something worth having?
Tia, also optic recommendations would be appreciated as well.

I would make sure what ever you get has a side rail. They take a bit to get used to but much better then
A. replacing your rear sight post with a rmr/aimpoint optic, or B. bolting you rmr/aimpoint optic to your dust cover that will always be getting taken off to clean or troubleshoot.
If u want an optic I would say aimpoint h2, or maybe a mro or something similar smaller the better

I got an upper and a lower blem from PSA and put it together. I put a Sparc red dot on it.

No you didn't.
RS regulate for your optics rail if you need one. I'd go with something like the Aimpoint pro.

100 yards, aiming point, sight alignment, sight picture, breath control, nice smooth squeeze trigger. Boom!

Yep, you are correct. I read AK as AR.
