Definitely. I love the Ruger SP101 for general purpose duty.

But I'd go with a Smith & Wesson 442 if to carry.

Point the gun and shoot.

I just haven't held it yet. I've got to see the size to see if it's right for me. I want a good carry gun, and I like it rather small ( ).

They're both not as bad as other types of ammo. The 9mm is just becoming very popular, especially among competition shooters.

FWIW, I have had a harder time finding 9mm than 40. Both are tough to come by though, but 9 is harder. I have always been able to get 10mm

Not any difference between the two

Very debatable. We have had a lot of our officers that have had some mechanical problems with them. I'm not going to get into the great handgun debate but there are handguns on the market that are more reliable. If that is the criteria that we are using.....and IMO it should be very close to the top
