I think we saw your place when we were down a couple weeks back. Good work. We will be fixing the rest of our place assuming we make it through this hurricane season.

How high up are yall and how are you driving those piles?

Did you sleep out there while working or drive it daily?

We drive daily, I’ve been trying to make a day a week. It’s usually only 2 of us working.

Although i rallied the troops when it came to installing the tin. If you wanted to sleep in it when it was finished, your arse better have been out there. We had to close it in all at once since we used fiberglass roll insulation

That's what I thought we could see the metal frame going up when we were cleaning up and trying to decided if we were going to rebuild. We are the first camp off moss bay hoping to really start working on it soon

I know how much work goes into building a place like this on the weekends or when you get a chance. Good job dudes. Looks like a cool place to hangout . Only advise I have is get it completed. If you start using it @ 75% it’s hard to get motivated to finish. Trust me.

We lost more than half of the floor also, so first we wanted to get the generator shed up and now we have to repair the walkway over the marsh. Then a little bit of cooler now rainy weather it's game on we think we will have it ready for winter. We spend more time down there in the winter normally.

Any updates since its been about a year since your year 1 update? I'm tinkering around with the idea for my old falling down camp.

Yeah, just seeing this post, but as of March or April of last year, its sleepable. After May, it was too dam hot to work outside so we fished the rest of the year and enjoyed our new camp. We started back a few weeks ago on enlarging the porch to 10x20. I'm currently waiting on my sheet metal order to come in for the roof.

The building was a Versatube building ordered online. 20x36. Their claim to fame is no one piece weighs more than 35 pounds. It went up pretty fast and feels pretty strong. We didn’t do the porch as part of the metal building due to it being exposed to the elements/ salt water. 3 in fiberglass insulation was enough to keep it cool using 2x 12000 btu ac’s .
