Back before we had curbie trashcans at every residence in the county, shooting rats at dumpsters at night was big time beer drinking fun. I killed some trophys!

We had a blast doing it. There is an old polaroid of me somewhere with me holding up a wharf rat that was bigger than an average grey squirrel!

We had a rotation on the dumpsters, shoot a few, then go to the next one.

Like I said, good beer drinking fun.

I am sort of surprised that doves aren't getting more mentions in these lists. Are dove shoots uncommon in Louisiana?

Used to dove hunt all the time in N. La, just sucked at it.

It's mostly an opening weekend thing then nobody does a whole lot of it after first split.

I used to hunt 2nd and 3rd split in high school and we'd be pretty much by ourselves.
