bumper will accommodate everything from warn but the powerplant. there are two open area above the fairlead which will give you access to everything. its made by fab fours. only weighs 200lbs. i had a full ranch hand bumper and brush guard on an 02 z tahoe for four years and never had any problems w/ the weight

Yeah, just unspool and wash it after you use it, and try to keep it out of the sun. Dirt and sun mess it up the quickest. Amsteel and another company are the best. Can't remember the other name though

It is surprisingly light and way more safe than cable. I felt safe every time I have stood around it. Once you've seen a cable go through a window or tailgate, you want to make the switch.

200 isn't that bad.

Hammer, I've seen a cable pop before. Mine scares the shite outta me 100% of the time. Planning on having the synthetic on it by next winter

im looking at 275-280lbs w/ this set-up. when i leveled the truck i changed the shock/spring assemblies up front and the shocks in the rear. they are adjustable ranchos so im not really worried about ride or sag

Whatever you get, I would seal it up with something like gasket maker, silicone caulk, or plumbers goop. Then, drill a hole in the bottom and put some type of removable plug so if water does get in there you can drain it out.

Either that or grease the frick out of the inside.

there are holes drilled near the winch mounting plate to allow water to drain. the winch im getting is sealed (internals) so hopefully this should not be so much of a problem.

My bumper with winch and cable comes in over 400 IIRC. It's heavy as frick.

When the bumper comes off the front end come up 4"

Ah okay. Thinking about it on the way home, it doesn't sound like you will be dunking the truck any time soon. With my old one, I used to come home with water sitting in the winch case

Yea it hurts me more than helps. The weight on the front tires is close to a stock diesel's front axle weight. It sinks like a brick. Lots of 1/2" plate and solid tubing in my bumper. It's great for hitting cows and shite but not so much for mud.

it's a gamble, I know guys that rock them for years, but I know more that throw them away.

Superwinch, Ramseys or the tried and true Warn. But be careful by just with the brand name. Some of these have cheap models now, including warn.

I ahve the talon series from superwinch 9.5i SR. its great. but you are going to need at minimum 12k(like stated)
