In LA, you can possess at 18, hell you can buy from an individual. Just can't purchase from a store. Dumb as hell.

its my understanding that that form is for peace of mind for the transferee and not the recipient, you don't have to full that out. it is voluntary.

Get him to buy you a box of ammo too. You wont be able to purchase any until you're 21. Which I believe is dumb because the only 9mm that I currently own is a carbine.

I heard at some places if you say it's for a rifle they will sell you pistol caliber ammo. The whole shotgun/rifle 18 vs pistol 21 thing is pretty damn stupid.
