If you're taking about hunting (and I assume you are, since you listed some pretty long distances), I'd think the gun and your skill set will be bigger accuracy factors

I dont think caliber matters until you start shooting very very far. With a rifle I dont think it really starts to matter unless you're shooting 1000+ yards or going for ultra tiny groups closer in. With a pistol cartridge I dont see why itd be any different

I only respond in defense.

And i am unlike most- i hit back

That is one of the most immature posts I've ever seen here - but I've only been a member for 10 years, so it's probably not a record.

You'd find this to be a more friendly place, and perhaps find that people assign more weight to your opinions, if you dropped the aggressive super-cop arrogance.

You've acknowledged you weren't some Special Forces/SWAT team operator. You were a game warden. Yes, those guys get some excellent training now (and maybe got great training 40 years ago). But Green Jeans don't get a lot of respect from some of the members here (apparently from encountering agent is the field with arrogant personalities).

I know several La. wildlife agents - it would be interesting to know your real name so I can get their assessment of your reputation.

P.S. This wasn't an attack - it's advice. But feel free to "hit back." Absent some independent info about your career, I'm done with your opinions.

Your doing a good job of making a fool of yourself. Carry on. You seem to have the little man syndrone. It really eats you that you took the wrong path in life and missed the leo boat. Its tearing you up. Also be aware of Libel laws.

Abraham Maslow talked about your problem. In his heirarchy of life , folks like you get stuck in the love and belonging stage, and when you cannot or did not achieve to the higher level in life, you attempt to knock the achievers back down to equal level. Its not my fault you did not choose the correct career.

Dude….
Your opinion of yourself is massive.
I’d bet you’re the green jeans that would try to set people up so you looked good to your bosses.
