Sorry, should have replied to OP and not you. There are literally hundreds of pipelines in South Lake Charles, many on the same row as this pipeline. Buddy Leach married well and runs Sweetlake Land & Oil, there office is one mile south of the pipeline and they own ship tons of land it crosses. He is on the LIBERAL side, ran for Gov, State Sen, Rep.

Honestly I'm not 100% sure that that spread was one that my company even worked on....it might have been but probably would have been another division that I don't have as much insight into.

1. Sure we can now say more than it was appraised for. You are probably correct.
2. KPLC had some footage of Gauthier Road area protestors. If you told me that those jamokes were paid I would not argue.
3. Operating inside of the law? No problem with me. Let's say I have had experience with pipeline companies constructing pipelines on family property without permission which is known as "bad faith trespass."
4. No, the Exxon v. Hill case went to the Louisiana Supreme Court. It is about the different methods of land appraisals for property that was expropriated. It is a very good read.
316, thanks for sharing your points of view on the issue of landowner's constitutional rights.
